Loving thoughts and prayers to Karen’s family and fellow friends. Thank you Dr. Jere Eshelman for calling me today with the sad news, so sorry for the loss. I shared three wonderful years with Karen as closest of friends before we graduated together from York College. I carry always a bounty of life lessons learned through Karen’s loving kindness and soulful wisdom.

To Karen’s family: I only met Karen recently at Lisa’s shower and wedding this summer. Even though I knew her for a very short time, I found the sparkle in her eye and her zest for life irresistable. I am grateful that she touched my life and my heart breaks for your loss. May you find comfort in the wonderful and loving memories you shared with Karen. I don’t doubt that her sparkle will continue to light up your lives.
With love,
Lisa’s friend Robyn
