Nolan, you ruled in the crease from the time you started LAX. You listened intently, never had a bad thing to say, and did not like coming out for a breather. The fear you struck on the D-poles was the same fear you inflicted on your sickness. We are darn Proud of you and you have left such a positive impression on all you came in contact with. LAXspeed Nolan.
Ahvay,
Coach Crail

We had Nolan at our after-school program at John Beck. He always showed good sportsmanship and was very kind to the younger children. We miss him. We remember the days his grandfather would pick him up and he would just watch Nolan play and patiently let him finish whatever game he was involved in. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

Lisa, Mike and Brady,
It seems like just yesterday that I was on-duty assigned to work the Warwick Basketball Game and encountered a young 5 year old Nolan Himes who ran onto the court at the end of the game to grab the basketball. The crowd thought I was going to yell at him, but instead I challenged to give him a dollar if he made the shot. To my surprise, he threw the ball up with his little arms and made a perfect shot (nothing but net). He managed to walk away with several of my dollars for the years that follow.
Nolan was a joy to watch grow up through the years and his smile will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you guys during this difficult time.

Mike, Lisa, and Brady—-No words can take the sting away or the weariness of the last 4 years. Our son, Logan, passed away in December from Ewing’s Sarcoma. Like Nolan, he was and athlete and loved life! He played soccer for Manheim Central and finished his senior season two months before his death. Logan left behind a brother who continues to come to grip with the loss of his best friend. We are still angry, frustrated, and heartbroken but find comfort with family, friends, and God. I am the math coach at Elizabethtown and am offering a listening ear, a compassionate hug and a understanding heart if needed. lora_crills@etownschools.org
