Condolences to the Family

August 02, 2017

To the McGuinness family,
We want to express our sincerest sympathy to Tom’s wife Peggy and his children and grandchildren.  We remember the days when they lived in Rothsville and Tom would walk his dog through our development and would stop to chat. We missed seeing him. Please know you all are in our thoughts and prayers during this time of grief.

We will miss Thomas “pappa” Mcguinness very much. For the past 27 years children and grandchildren enjoyed going to Lititz Pa and visiting with Tom and Peggy. The country life was a nice change of pace for everyone. We especially treasured gathering around the dinner table and listening family stories about the days of youth in bergenfield and Paramus. Family vacations to places like Jackson Hole Wyoming with everyone packed into the big station wagon, two dogs included, brought great images to mind of a special day gone by. Thomas and Peg loved their many animals over the years including Boots, Casey, Heidi and others too many to mention here. Tom got to achieve his dream with Peggy by moving out to Litiitz Pa and enjoying a simple way of life and wood treat his grandchildren with Oregon Farm ice cream and Wilber’s chocolate and Sturgis Pretzels. The grandchildren got to see rows and rows of corn in the fields and see the sun set over Amish farms. He spent time listening to childrens and grandchildren’s funny stories. And he loved his wife to the very end. At the dinner table he enjoyed listening to stories of when Peter, Tom. Patty, and Maureen grew up and the laughter would fill the room. All of of us will miss him but will be in envy of the richness of his life. Christopher Campanelli Son in law
