Robert N. Shelton, 67, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on October 29, 2018 at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD. Born in Marlinton, WV, he was the son of the late William Raymond Shelton and Lillian Irene (Daft) Shelton. Bob was the loving husband of 38 years to Christina P. (Cabello) Shelton.
A veteran, he served in the US Navy. Bob retired as detective from the Union City, NJ Police Department. He was an avid golfer, liked his coffee and lattes, enjoyed driving his convertible, especially to the beach. Bob had a great collection of stamps and coins. Most of all, he loved spending time with his grandsons.
In addition to his wife, Christina, Bob is survived by his 3 children: Casandra Fox, wife of Adam, William Raymond Shelton and Jonathan Theron Shelton; 5 grandsons: Billy, Caleb, Nicholas, Gavin and Landyn; 4 siblings: Kathy, Janet, Gloria and Jerry; and his beloved peek-a-poo, Oreo.
Bob is preceded in death by 4 siblings: Bud, Nancy, Sandra and Dorothy.
Services are private and guests will be invited by the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to www.leukaemia.org.au

Sincere condolences to Bob’s family. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. Though it has been several years since I last saw him, I have many fond memories growing up with “Bobby” and his siblings. He will be truly missed by all who were fortunate to know him. Sending our love and prayers to you all.

Bob was one of the nicest and kindest officers that I had the privilege to work with. He was a good and humble man that will be missed by many. It was an Honor to have worked with Him and to be his friend. Deepest Condolences to His Family. May He Rest In Eternal Peace with God.

After his retirement, Bob and I lost touch with each other. He was a Good Cop, Good Friend and a GOOD man.
