Charles E. Hatfield, 90

Charles E. Hatfield, 90, of Lancaster, PA, passed away at his home on Saturday, August 8, 2020.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Charles R. and Marguerite Hatfield.
After graduating JP McCaskey High School he served in the US Marine Corps Staff Sergeant from 1948-1952 and served during the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement he worked as a tool and die maker in the toy industry for Hubley Toys and also at KD Tools manufacturing.
He was an accomplished golfer an avid Philadelphia Flyers fan and of the Lutheran Faith.
He is survived by three sons; Charles H. of Columbia, Edward D and his wife Beverly of Millersville, and Jeffery T. of Lancaster. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Brandon, Melisa, Rachel and Tyler; and two great grandchildren, Savannah and Nora.
Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held at 9 AM Friday August 21, 2020 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

Charlie, I cherished your history of the 1st Marine Division in Korea. 3rd Batallion, 5th Marines. Sadly just tried to call you today. I got the book we discussed about Dark Horse SIX. The call sign of 1, 3, 5 in Korea. Miss you Charlie! Damn!
