It’s been nearly fifty years since I went to Dr. Bob. And I knew army from YECA Welcome Wagon! My name then was Jane Rineer. What a great couple! What a great life! I am so sorry for the family’s loss! I will never forget how fun it was to go to the dentist , and the fun we had socializing. I, too, have had a recent (2020) loss of a mate!

As a service adviser, I first met Dr Belser when he brought his Chrysler in to be serviced. He was so easy to talk to it was like we had known each other for ever. It was sad when he decided to trade the Chrysler in for a Lexus – not because the dealership lost a customer but because I would not be having those wonderful conversations with him any more. Bob was an American Classic and the epitome of a family man and friend to all.  (He really may have been the inspiration for the Geiko commercial)  There are few people who have as much class, grace, and humility as Bob had.  He made everyone’s lives more enjoyable and richer when her was around.  He always took a genuine interest in other people’s lives.   I really loved playing golf with him because he was so competitve, fun to be around, and I actually won with him as my partner a couple of times!  It is a tribute to him in how much people respected him and also how loved he was by his family.  He will be missed greatly, and I count myself fortunate to have known Bob Belser..

Like many, we were shocked to learn of Bob’s passing. Before the pandemic, our paths regularly crossed at the Y. I didn’t realize we were the same age as he looked much younger than I did. While we’ve known him for many years and thrilled to his music with Peter and others, I was most impressed that he continued to play with the British Brass Band. The music they played was very difficult but Bob seemed to be confident in his ability to play with them. It’s been our pleasure to know the two of you!

Dear Emy and family,
With sympathy on the loss of a wonderful person. May the Grace of God bring comfort to you during this difficult time. Know that Bob’s cheerful spirit will continue to live with you and with all who knew him.
Bob and I shared many enjoyable and memorable moments as members of John Peifer’s F&M Blue Band. One of those humorous moments occured during an April band trip to Atlantic City. On a dare, Bob and I decided to take a plunge in the ocean. We had swimming trunks because the hotel in which we stayed had a pool. Walking on the Boardwalk on our way to the beach we received more than a few curious glances and comments about our bare legs and feet exposed beneath our buttoned-up F&M pea coats. One such comments was -“stupid college kids.” We did indeed take that dipin the Atlantic ocean thus living the dare — the operative word here is “dip” because we didn’t stay very lon in the frigid April Atlantic Ocean. There are many more memories of Bob and our F&M band experiences that will live with me forever.
Heaven has now received a new trumpeter to herald God’s goodness.

Always welcoming to all, Bob was truly a man blessed by God. I surely enjoyed the privilege of “grilling and chilling” with Bob whenever we were cooking burgers and hot dogs at the TLC summer picnics at Neffsville Park. Anytime with Bob is a special time and now those special events will remain in my heart forever. Family and friends, please be comforted that Bob has obtained his salvation through Our Lord Jesus Christ and there is a special place for Bob with Jesus, who welcomes those that truly love him and that we might live with him too, together and forever.
