Debra A. Violante Philippa, 57
February 08, 2021
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Isaiah 41:10
Debi Violante Philippa (Galati), 57, is finally at peace with our Savior after a five-year struggle with cancer.
She was the loving wife of Alwin Philippa, mother of four amazing children: Michael, Zachary, Frankie and Renée. She is also survived by her parents, Mauro and MaryAnn Galati, siblings Lori Galati, Lisa Thompson and Anthony Galati. She was preceded in death by her first husband Frank Violante.
Family and friends will be received from 2-4PM on Saturday, February 20, 2021 followed by a private family service at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George St, Millersville, PA 17551. In lieu of flowers or donations, she asked that anyone who wishes to do so share loving thoughts or memories about her, using her favorite medium: the written word. She would love people to remember one positive attribute about her (or more than one), put it to paper and mail it to the family whom she loved.
“Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.”
Philippians 4:5-7

To Mauro and MaryAnn, Lori, Lisa and Anthony and our extended Carepenito and Swartward families. You have been in my thoughts and prayers since the passing of cousin Debra whom I remember Debra as a sweet and gentle soul and a faithful child of our Lord. We were not far in part in age as kids and I have very found memories of family gatherings with Aunt Dot and your family over many years. I am comfortted that she is and will be in the palm of the hand of our heavenly father and at peace forever. Much love to you all.

I knew Debbie mostly during her younger years followed by a long gap in between till recently. She was a sweet gentle woman of God who displayed Jesus in her person. In later years we connected via internet after Lee and I moved to Lancaster and I observed a Debbie who had grown to love Christ in a beatifically trusting way through thick and thin-in spite of a chronic illness. Astounding faith! The kind that was prepared to tell our Lord..”Here I am, ready for you!” Lee and I love you sweetheart and will miss you.

To Debi’s family,
My heart is broken for I will miss my dearest friend. I’ve known Debi for nearly 50 years. So many memories. So much laughter. Speaking for hours on end about everything and anything. She had so many amazing qualities… intelligence,a great wit, curiosity about life, loving and kind. Im so thankful that Debi is no longer in pain(what a fighter) and is with Jesus. She’s a child of the King and now she’s in his loving arms. We could never really say goodbye when we spoke on the phone…”see you later, love you.” So I won’t do it now. See you later Debi, love you.

We miss you so much. We are glad you are no longer suffering. We have many good memories to look back on. I really miss our phone calls, laughing, crying, sharing scripture together.
We will see you in heaven, where you have your new body and peace with Jesus.
Love, Mommy and Daddy.

Rest peacefully my dear neice. You made me an aunt when I was only 8 years old. We grew together and shared laughs, tears, joys and sorrows over many years. I loved our phone conversations and your infectious laugh along with a sense of humor that rivaled my own. I was so happy to teach you things when you were just a child and I was a full grown teenager. You have a very special place in our hearts and you will be sorely missed. Aunt Mary and Uncle Will.

It was a pleasure to take care of her when she was on 8 lime. I loved talking with her for hours and she always remained so positive! Her attitude was contagious and she will be deeply missed.
