Robert Clair, 83

Robert Clair, 83, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at his residence. Born in Lititz, he was the son of the late Amos C. and Ruth (Miller) Clair.

Robert was a big football fan and always made sure to turn on a game. His favorite team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed traveling to Ocean City Maryland and to Colorado to visit his niece. They would visit Old West Towns that still remain there.

Robert is survived by his children, Rebecca, Jessica, and Scott Clair; his siblings, Donald (Linda) Clair, Betty Gill, and Donna McAllister; his nieces, Vicki Brill, Cindy Hutto, and Sherry Williamson; and nephews, Barry and Kevin Gill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, June Hutto and Dolly Gingrich.

Internment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

I have many great memories of Clair. We worked together at Glassmyer’s and whenever he was sad or seemed to be having a bad day I would start singing “blue skies smiling at me, nothing but blue skies do I see”. That would always make him smile.  Great guy who lived a simple life.

Clair was a good friend that I had the privilege of knowing for 30+ years. I will miss him dearly. My good friend taught me alot about life and people. Rest in Peace my friend you earned it.
