Betty R. Patton, 82

February 12, 1941 - November 18, 2023

Betty R. Patton, 82, of Millersville and formerly of Lancaster, passed away at Oak Leaf Manor South on Saturday, November 18, 2023. She shared 60 years of marriage with her husband Ronald K. Patton who died on February 21, 2023.

Born in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary (Basher) Rote.

She worked in housekeeping for Howard Johnson Hotel in Lancaster for 10 years and then for The Host for a few years. Betty was a member of AARP Centerville Chapter #4221. She enjoyed homemade cooking, specializing in her chicken pot pie, and making chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter, and coconut cream eggs.

Betty loved her dogs, Miniature Poodle “Claudette”, German Shepherd “Jovi”, and Jack Russell Terrier “Toby”. She also enjoyed playing the slots at the casino, and going on cruises with Ron to Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Lori Ann Steininger, companion of Richard Adkins of Pocomoke City, MD; three grandchildren, Travis Christman, husband of Ashley, Destiny Patton, and Cat Schwartz-Grubbs, wife of Woody; and her great-granddaughter Harley Christman.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her sons, Brian K. Patton and Richard P. Patton, her son-in-law Mark Steininger, and her 13 siblings.

Betty’s family will receive guests from 1-2 pm on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
