William E. Bradley, 97

December 21, 2023

William E. Bradley, 97, of Brunnerville, went home to be with the Lord on December 21, 2023. He was the son of the late William O. and Dorothy (Collins) Bradley. He was the loving husband of the late Joan Bradley.

He was accepted into the navy’s pilot training program at the end of WW II and continued serving in the navy for several years. After military service, he graduated from Colgate University with a BA in Physics and a Masters in Industrial Management from Stevens Institute of Technology. He spent his professional working career with RCA as a Quality Control Manager and retired in 1986. After retirement he worked for Woodstream Corporation, sold health insurance, and ended up working at The Home Depot until he was 94.

In his youth, he was an accomplished equestrian, earning multiple awards for his riding skills. He enjoyed golfing and was a talented DIY guy, enhancing the homes in which he lived. Parrots and cats were a shared delight for Bill and Joan. It is appropriate that Bill should pass during the Christmas season as he loved the holiday and found pleasure in giving gifts.

Bill is survived by three children: Bill Bradley Jr., Jim (Karen) Bradley and Sue Bradley; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Beside wife Joan, he was preceded in death by a sister, Colleen Larson.

A military honors ceremony will be held at 1PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2023 at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd., Annville, PA 17003.
