John was a good friend as well as an excellent athlete and gentleman. He always had a warmth of feeling for everyone, and is missed by all who had the benefit of knowing him. I remember when he was a young boy & started to come to Mitchell Schoolyard to play ball. One could tell he was going to be a real player.
My heartfelt condolences to John’s Family for their great loss! Francis J. Mcgovern

My sincere condolences to John Beck’s family at their loss. I worked at High with John and always enjoyed his company. I also bought a vehicle at Wisslers when he was there. John attended some of the High retiree breakfasts that I attended as well. I’ll very sorry for your loss and I’ll miss him. God rest his soul!

I have many fond memories of spending time with Mr. Beck from my younger years. From all the times, he supported us at basketball games and going on a white water rafting trip with Lori and my dad. And as an adult, whenever I would see him in the neighborhood, he always had a smile on his face. I’m so sad to hear of his passing and pass along my prayers for comfort and support. I hope that sharing all the memories brings you much comfort.

He was a true gentleman with a kind heart. I’ll never forget how kind he was to me and my son when I met him about 15 years ago. May he rest in peace.
