Kathleen “Kathy” Brosey, 62
September 12, 2024
Kathleen “Kathy” Brosey, 62, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2024. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jack M. and Mary Lou (Jeffries) Fischer. She was married 41 years to her beloved husband Roger K. Brosey.
Kathy was a 1979 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School and Brownstown Votech. She received her degree in cosmetology and worked her entire career as a hairdresser, starting her career at Holiday Hair and eventually opening her own salon, Inspirations Hair Care, which ran for 35 years. Kathy and Roger had a passion for golden retrievers and had the pleasure of owning 14 over the years. She loved and was proud of her home, enjoyed spending time with her husband and taking day trips, going out to eat, and her entire family could count on her for sending a card for any occasion. She is described as caring, a role model, a mentor, a fighter, and one with a great sense of humor. She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In addition to her husband Roger, she is survived by her 2 golden retrievers: Diesel and Norman; 3 siblings: Mary Alice Smith (Bruce), John M. Fischer (Jeannie), and Peggy Hodgden (Randy); mother-in-law Esther Brosey (the late Kenneth “Bud”), brother-in-law Rick Brosey (Holly), sister-in-law Leslie Flory (the late Paul “Cork”), 3 nieces: Kathy Hally, Rachel Hoyt, and Becky McGeehan; 3 nephews: Curtis, Ryan, and Travis Fischer; and 11 great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 12 of her golden retrievers: Chet, Teddy, Rufus, Max, Shadow, Ben, Tucker, Lincoln, Riley, Martin, Trever, and Carter.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at 10 AM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. The family will receive guests beginning at 9:30 AM.
