Vincent John “Vince” Orlando, 55
November 28, 2024
Vincent John “Vince” Orlando, 55, of East Petersburg, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with lung cancer on November 28, 2024. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Russell and Donna (Reddy) Orlando.
Vince attended Hempfield High School. He worked for Lift-All Company, Inc. as a production scheduler; a job and company that he loved. Vince was an avid football fan and enjoyed cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles, Penn State, and the Hempfield Knights, where his son, Vinnie plays. He was a devoted father and supported his kids in everything they did. Vince cherished his family and organized the family reunion every year. He was known to love a good homecooked meal, Chinese buffet, Wendy’s chocolate frosty, and hanging out with his best friend, Jenn. Vince will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
In addition to his parents Russell and Donna, Vince is survived by 2 children, Melissa Kay Orlando (Jason McGuigan) and Vincent John Orlando, Jr., sister Joanne Decker (Keith), 2 cats, Maya and Baby Cat, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, David and Edward Orlando.
A time to gather and celebrate Vince’s life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2-4 PM at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Please come wearing your favorite football jersey. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Vince’s name to American Cancer Society, cancer.org.

I worked with Vinny at Lift-All. He had an awesome, hard-to-explain mix of being rough-around-the-edges, yet, fun and caring. He would come back to my cubicle and sit in my visitor’s chair. When the big forearms crossed, I knew I was going to be hit with some blunt honesty. LOL. But he would always leave with both of us laughing. He often talked about his kids, sports, hockey, fixing up his home, or even tree trimming. During many lunches at work, whenever it was nice out, he would challenge anyone to throw some bean bags for a 10 minute corn hole competition. He was always game, about everything. Wearing our favorite football jersey is definately Vinny. … just as long as it’s not any of the other teams in the NFC East.
