Ruth was lovely, thoughtful and very, very kind. She loved the peace of her home and being “in-dee-pendent”, and loved taking care of her beautiful flowers and yard- a pretty and peaceful oasis. I have many sweet memories of her- picking seeds to start her flowers from scratch every year, growing them on her deck and around her yard, weeding and caretaking, and enjoying her breakfast outside on every nice day. She baked delicious lemon bars and loved to share them. She loved her family. She always had a kind word for everyone. If simple kindness has a face, it is Ruth’s. I miss her, and I’ll take her example as a very good lesson to remember.
