Patricia A. Bender, 75, of Lititz, passed away on January 5, 2025.
She was the wife of Daryl H. Bender, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage this past May 13th. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Irvin N. and Mabel Eberly Miller.
Patricia had worked for 19 years for Landis Homes Communities in the food service department, before retiring in 2015. Prior to this, as a registered nurse, she had worked at the former Conestoga View and as a home health nurse in South Carolina.
She was a member of Lancaster Evangelical Free Church of Lititz, and enjoyed putting puzzles together, sewing, being a homemaker, spending time with her grandchildren and camping with her husband.
In addition to her husband, Daryl, Patricia is survived by her children: Brian N. married to Kristina Bender of Mount Penn, Kevin S. married to Kelly Bender of Sinking Spring, and Rachel E. married to Matthew Brubaker of Leola; her 7 grandchildren: Tori, Cora, Colin, Daniel, Kylie, Sienna and Malachi, and by her siblings: Richard Miller, Sandra married to Michael Layton, Judith married to Donald Bomberger, Fred married to Marilyn Miller, Barbara married to Willard Keener, Michael married to Matilda Miller and Samuel married to Rachel Miller.
Friends will be received by Patricia’s family on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 12:30-2PM at the Lancaster Evangelical Free Church, 419 Pierson Rd., Lititz, PA 17543, with the Funeral Service to follow at 2PM. Interment will be in Witness Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contribution in her memory to Lancaster Evangelical Free Church at the above address.

Daryl my friend, I wish you and your family God’s love and comfort, and I give you my love and condolences. I join you in sorry over your loss, but also rejoice with you in knowing Pat is with her savior and that her days of suffering are gone.

May The Comforter be real to you note and the days ahead. Pat did a lot for the family and our “sisterhood” will miss her. We teased that if there was something we needed, Pat had it in her purse. God bless you all. Bath and Willy too.

Daryl, I am so sorry to learn of Pat’s passing. She was a lovely person and certainly a God-send to you. She also was a wonderful mother to your three children. Kevin’s post announcing her passing was so heartfelt and words I’m sure Brian and Rachel also acknowledge. I extend my deepest sympathy and prayers for you and your family.
