Elizabeth L. “Liz” Stoll, 85

January 19, 2025

Elizabeth L. “Liz” Stoll, 85, of Ephrata was welcomed into the open arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 19, 2025. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Richard C. Dommel and Elizabeth L. Bachman Patterson. Liz was the loving wife of Harry P. Stoll III who passed in 2019. She was a faithful member of Hope United Methodist Church, Ephrata. She taught Sunday School at Rohrerstown Church of God for many years. Liz was a strong woman of faith and dedicated time daily to reading her devotions and praying for friends, family and those in need. She started her career at Slaymaker Lock Company, later working at Arlans, United Chem Inc., Lancaster General Hospital and later retiring from Weaver’s Market.

Known for her feisty spirit, she was a social butterfly who enjoyed coloring and playing bingo. She loved spending any time possible with her grand and great grandchildren and was fortunate to have the duty of babysitting them and watching them grow.

Surviving are two daughters, Debra Marie Myers, and Barbara Ann Gordon, grandchildren, Heather M. Long, Michael J. Gordon Jr., Glenn C. Myers Jr. as well as her great grandchildren, Madison R. Long and Abby M. Long. Also surviving is a sister-in-law, Claire Dommel. Preceding her In passing is a brother, Amos B. Dommel.
The family would like to thank the staff at Ephrata Manor for the generous care they showed Liz during her time at the home. The family cannot put into words how much that truly meant to them.

At Liz’s request a private graveside service will be held at a later date. Those desiring may send contributions in her memory to Hope United Methodist Church, 3474 Rothsville Road, Ephrata, PA 17522.
