John Charles Fink, Jr., 81

February 13, 2025

John Charles Fink, Jr., age 81, passed away at his home on February 13, 2025. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Anna M. (Oster) and John C. Fink, Sr.

After completing his high school education, John proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1962, where he served honorably until his discharge in 1966. His dedicated service to his nation laid a strong foundation for a life of hard work and resilience. Following his military career, he joined Kunzler & Company, where he devoted 32 years, eventually retiring in 2006.

A licensed pilot, John found joy in the open skies, navigating the world from above. His passion for travel echoed his desire to explore new horizons, but it was the simple pleasures of life that truly brought him joy. He cherished the moments spent spoiling his beloved grandchildren, creating memories that will be forever etched in their hearts.

John is survived by his daughter, Nadine Fink (wife of Jason) of Lancaster; his grandchildren: Jordan (husband of Elizabeth), Alexia and Kayleigh; one great granddaughter: Isabel; one brother: Vance Fink (husband of Carol) of Lancaster and one sister in-law: Barbara Fink.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his siblings Joan Young and Scott Fink.

A private ceremony will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, where John will be laid to rest with the honors.

Condolences to the Family

I worked with John at Kunzlers from 1978 when I started until his retirement in 2006.While happy for him to retire, we were all sad to see him go, and very glad when he would occasionally return for a visit. With his job that was at times very frustrating, I only ever saw him lose his temper once in almost 30 years. What a gem of a man! So sorry for your loss.

I worked with John for 25 years at Kunzler. He was a great worker and a good friend to all who knew him. Please except my deepest sympathy.
