With hearts heavy and full of gratitude, we share the passing of Dedjen Dadebo Abbabbo, age 69, who peacefully left this world on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at his home in Ephrata. Born in Badewacho, Ethiopia, Dedjen was the cherished son of the late Dadebo Abbabbo and Kewobiye Halabo, and devoted husband to Amsale Alemayehu Yemer. His life was a radiant example of love, humility, and steadfast faith.

Dedjen was a man whose presence brightened every room he entered. His laughter echoed with warmth, his words uplifted the weary, and his heart held a boundless capacity for compassion. To those who knew him, he was not just a husband, father, or friend, but a beacon of joy and unwavering strength. His humor, ever-present, was matched only by his wisdom, as countless sought his counsel during times of need.

A man of quiet strength and devotion, Dedjen’s faith was his foundation. His belief in Christ shaped every step of his journey, inspiring all who were blessed to witness his life. Whether tending to his beloved garden or sharing moments with his family, he approached everything with care and joy. Soccer, one of his passions, brought him deep fulfillment, just as his work brought him pride.

His legacy lives on through his loving wife, Amsale Alemayehu Yemer, and his daughters, Ailon Dadebo and Millo Dadebo (Michael Aceto). He is survived by his siblings Belaynesh Dadebo, Hanna Dadebo, Elias Dadebo, and Rediet Abebe. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Aster, Silas, and Yohannes Dadebo.

Dedjen’s life was a tapestry woven with threads of laughter, faith, and service to others. His kindness and grace left an indelible mark on all he encountered, and his spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Dedjen’s remarkable life on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Entombment will take place at Conestoga Memorial Park, where his memory will be honored for generations to come.
