Claudette Eliane Martinelli Rinaldi, 77, passed away peacefully in her sleep early Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at Susquehanna Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Columbia. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Rose (Aguanno) Martinelli. Claudette was the loving wife of the late Samuel W. Claudette grew up on South Seventh Street in Elizabeth, NJ and attended School 3, Cleveland Junior High and Battin High School, where she was a member of the Glee Club. One of her fondest memories was performing in Atlantic City. Following high school, Claudette worked at Beltone, Bristol Myers, the Township of Hillside Board of Health and the Hillside Fire Department. She married Samuel W. Rinaldi, the love of her life, on October 1, 1966. Together they loved to dance, enjoyed traveling to Niagara Falls and Mount Airy Lodge in the Poconos, and spending time with family and friends. Claudette will be remembered for her laugh and her vibrant personality; she became friends with nearly everyone she met.
Claudette is survived by her daughter, Gisele M. Siebold, whom she adored and spent as much time with as possible; her son-in-law John; her grandchildren Isabella and Rowan; a sister Elaine Miller; nephews Robert and Paul Miller; and a great-niece, Angelina Miller.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at the Charles F. Gisele: just a few words to remind you of how much I cared about and appreciated your MOM. She was such a sweetheart to me and my Mom-along with your Dad they watched over and helped her many days when I was at work. I loved to hear that carzy voice of hers when she would call after she moved to Pa.. Our saddest conversation was when she called me to tell me that her Sam had died. I loved sending her little cards. I felt badly when she no longer had a telephone so we could chat about Hillside. She must be so happy to be back with Sam and Ollie now!! I thank her and Sam for their friendship!. God Bless you and yours as you go on.

Gisele, i am so sad to learn that you mom is no longer gracing the earth with her contagious smile and beautiful laugh. Your mother always made everyone in the room feel appreciated and loved. She passed so much of that joy in life and tremendous kindness to you. Such a great lady!! Sending love to you and your family as you adjust to the gaping hole left behind that her presence in your lives has always filled. I have such fond memories of your mom and dad. All my love.
