I knew George since I was a very young child. I will alway remember his humor, especially when he was planting grass seed and he convinced me that he was growing corn and to this day I will remember that when I plant grass seed. He was a very gentle man always supportive of his family and friends.

I only knew George from seeing him at York, PA train shows. His table was next to mine for many, many years. We would talk about so many things both train related and matters of the world. My wife and I will miss our engaging conversations with him and We wish his family all the best. May the joy of the memories soon replace the grief of his passing. Bill and Mary Clark, Stuart, VA.

My wife and I send our condolences to your family. George was a kind, well respected and talented man within the Lancaster Newspapers personnel. Anything that was asked of him he would get done. George was a real assest to the advertising department. I still have and cherish two pieces of his artwork that he made of me. One was a birthday card and the other was a large portrait of me for my retirement. I’m sure that he is missed and loved by many.
