A. Blanche Dracoules, 82
A. Blanche Dracoules, 82, of 114 Savo Ave., Lancaster, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center.
Born in Lancaster, Blanche was the daughter of Edward and Emma (Steely) Pelger. She was a 1941 graduate of Lititz High School. Blanche was married for 57 years to Augustus L. Dracoules. A homemaker, Blanche also worked at Andy’s Catering for over 25 years. She was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where she was a former member of the Philoptocos Society. Blanche volunteered as a Grey Lady at Lancaster General Hospital, and enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her children, Rochelle “Skip” Clair, married to Roy B., of Lititz, Carol M. of Melbourne, FL, Harry L. of Mountville, Edward A. of Lititz, and Michael W. of Columbia; 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brothers, Edward Pelger, married to Christine, of Lititz, Jerry Pelger of Lititz, and sisters, Mary Frey, married to Dave, of Yardley, and Anna Nuss of Rohrerstown. She was preceded in death by son, Augustus E. Dracoules, grandson, Alan Spalding, and brother, Charles Cooney.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to the family Wednesday evening from 7 until 9 PM at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Chapel, Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. A Trisagion Service will be held at 8 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 12 Noon at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 64 Hershey Ave., Lancaster. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park. Please omit flowers, contributions in Blanche’s memory may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church or Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O.
