Alexander James Adams, 28
November 04, 2018
Alex Adams, 28, of Landisville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, November 4, 2018, after a long struggle with addictions. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of James Adams and Christine (Wiker) Adams.
Alex was a graduate of Hempfield High School and the Universal Technology Institute of Exton with his Ford FACT certification. He was also a graduate of Teen Challenge. He more recently worked for Ebersole Construction and GT Services. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and 76ers fan. He also admired the strength and beauty of German Shepherd dogs. Alex had a smile that could light up a room, had a lion’s heart of generosity and would give you the shirt off his back. He always put the needs of others before himself. His goal in life was to give his testimony and share the love of Jesus with others. He enjoyed attending the Worship Center, LCBC, the Celebrate Recovery program and the Steps to Freedom program. Alex had a deep faith and loved his family. We would like to thank Brother Tim and Brother Dennis from the Teen Challenge of Greater Cleveland, as well as Pastors Sean Rajnic and Ruby Jones for their prayers and support.
In addition to his parents. Alex is survived by two sisters, Rebecca Adams and Amy DeSousa and her husband Ben. Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Paul and Ruth (Steinbaecher) Wiker; his paternal grandmother, Ann Adams; and his paternal step-grandmother, Marguerite Adams. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dr. Lawrence J. Adams.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service which will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at East Petersburg Mennonite Church, 6279 Main Street, East Petersburg, PA, 17520, where the family will receive guests from 10 – 11 AM. Dress will be casual and if desired wear something from one of Alex’s favorite teams. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alex’s memory may be made to Teen Challenge of Greater Cleveland, 3032 Perry Park Road, Perry, OH, 44081.

I lost my brother to a long battle of addiction this past December. We always encouraged him to go to teen challenge but it wasn’t in his playing cards. But…what a great feeling to know we will see them again! Prayers to your family as you grieve your loss but rejoice that he is no longer in pain or struggling!
