Dearest Pat and Williams’ family,
It was my pleasure working with Lonnie at McCaskey East. His upbeat attitude and gentle but firm way of working with our students earned him the respect of staff and students alike. We all admired Lonnie for his sharp wit (and sharp clothing) and unique perspective on the situation at hand. He will be sorely missed. My condolences to you all. Peggy Darling

My condolences to the Williams family. I worked with him at Prescott House, and like others have commented, I too had many laughs with Lonnie (and his brother Tyrone). We seemed to find the humor in just about about any situation we encountered…a boy did we encounter some situations! In later years I would see Lonnie walking on the track at F&M, and we’d always stop and catch up on things. I’m sorry that Lonnie & Tyrone are no longer with us, but they certainly made an impact on those they met. John Stoudt

I am sending condolences/sympathy to Pat n Williams family members. I was not aware that Lonnie T was dealing with a serious health concern. During the time we worked as Hall Monitors at McCaskey East we often talked-about our Boys Club n Camp Snyder experiences, him missing his buddies Gary B, Irving M not forgetting Tommy L n the fun that they had as campers. I start laughing to myself seeing Lonnie T doing the George Jefferson dance The Slop in the hallway at East. RIP Lonnie T your friend Papa Boots
