Amos Gelin, 70

Amos Gelin, 69, of Lancaster, a dedicated family man and a beloved member of the Haitian Maranatha Bible Church, passed away on October 1, 2023, after a battle with a lengthy illness. He was years old. Born on October 12, 1953, in Haiti, Amos was a hard worker. Before his illness he was a line employee at Tyson Foods, where he devoted ten years of his life.
Outside of his work, Amos had a passion for life’s simple pleasures. He loved to unwind by watching movies. Additionally, he had a fondness for playing the lottery, always hopeful that his luck might strike it big. These hobbies brought him moments of joy and excitement throughout his life. Above all, Amos cherished his role as a loving father and husband. He was married to his beloved wife Alta, June 28, 2007. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family.
Left to treasure his memory, is his wife Alta Desir; his children, Witlene Pascal, Marielita Gelin, Magno Gelin, Kathy Gelin, Lukner Gelin and Adner Gelin; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral services to celebrate Amos’s life will be held at Charles Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike PA, on October 14, 2023, at 10AM. Family invites guests to a viewing the night prior, October 13, 2023, from 6PM to 8PM. Amos Gelin’s passing leaves a void in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.

I can’t tell you enough how much my brothers and I appreciate everything you did for us, the things you did for us not even our own stepdad would ever do, you were the kinda of person we could always count on, like you always says “anywhere, anytime, and anyplace” and to you those we’re not just words you meant every one of them. for that I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ thank you for being the kindest person you could ever be.knowing you was a great gift to us

Father,
I want you to know how much Marielita, Magno, Kathy, Luckner and me (Witlene) loved you. We thank God for choosing you for our father. We miss you so much and can’t believe you are gone. Rest now knowing we will be okay and we will never forget you. Just like we have always done, we will continue to take care of each other. You will never be forgotten since you live in US.
