Angela Fotis, 89

Angela Fotis, 89, of Lancaster, died unexpectedly Monday, July 15, 2013 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, Angela was the daughter of the late John and Marianthe (Stratoola) Stathis. She was married 52 years to the late Thomas G. Fotis before his death in 1996.
A homemaker, Angela was an active member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She loved her church community, volunteering at the annual Greek Bazaar, and was a member of the Philoptochos Society.
Angela and her husband were active members in the Lancaster House North Association. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Angela is survived by her children, Irene A., wife of William H. Sheaffer, of Mount Joy, Gust P. Fotis, husband of Marcella, of San Jose, CA, grandchildren, Tom & George Fotis and Angela Meyers, and great-grandchildren, Gus, Nicholas, and Will. In addition to her husband and parents, Angela was preceded in death by her brother, Nicholas Stathis, and sister, Irene Kolivas.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 64 Hershey Ave., Lancaster, PA with Rev. Alexander Goussetis officiating. Viewings will be held Thursday from 7 until 9 PM at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike Lititz, PA 17543, and Friday from 9:30 until 10:30 AM at the church. Interment will take place in Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Angela’s memory may be made to Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.

Dear Irene..My deepest sympathy to ypu & your family. I met you many years ago, when I was a home health Registered Nurse for both Angie & Tom with St Joseph Home health. Angie always gretted me with smiles, she was such a joy to serve, as was Tom. I feel so blessed as a nurse to have cared for them both. My thoughts & prayers are for The Lord to give you comfort.
