Anna Mae Wood, 99
March 17, 2025
Anna Mae Wood, 99, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025 at Abbeyville Nursing & Rehab.
Born in Millersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Franklin and Martha Ada (Heiney) Breneman.
Anna worked for many years as an assembly line worker at Kerr Glass, making bottle caps. In her free time, she found joy in reading, solving word search puzzles, and watching sci-fi movies. Anna had a generous heart and spent time volunteering at the former Mennonite Home, now Trillium Place. However, her greatest joy in life was her family—especially her great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her Gi-Gi and Nanny.
She is survived by her grandsons, Ray (Nava) Brown and Jeffrey (JoMarie) Brown; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Bonnie Brown; and eight brothers and sisters.
Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anna’s name to St. Jude’s Children Hospital at stjude.org.

Anna Mae was the greatest Aunt! Always generous with her time and caring. She was like a second mother to our family. Her sense of humor and laugh were infectious. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Ray and Jeff. May she rest in well deserved peace. Terry Long
