Anne Clark Weiser, 78
April 29, 2019
Anne Clark Weiser, 78, of East Petersburg, passed away peacefully at home, Monday, April 29, 2019. Born in Red Lion, she was the daughter of Dorothy V. (Clark) Throne and the late Horace J. Throne. She was the loving and faithful wife of Russell L. Weiser with whom she celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Anne was a 1958 graduate of Red Lion High School and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in education from West Chester State College in 1962. Anne was a teacher at heart and spent 10 years teaching Math at Penn Manor Middle School and then 19 years as a preschool teacher for Apostles Community Preschool.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Anne always gave of herself to her family, friends, church, and community. She volunteered at the Manheim Township Library. Anne loved to read and was part of a book club that later evolved into a lunch club, which many times didn’t conclude until late in the afternoon. Church life was very important to Anne where she taught Sunday School and spent time knitting prayer shawls. She also enjoyed counted-cross stitch.
In addition to her mother and husband, Anne is survived by her two children: Eric S. Weiser, husband of Susan D. (Garvey), of Lititz and Allison A. Weiser, of Christiana; one grandson, Zach Weiser; and two siblings: Phillip Throne, of Red Lion and Patricia Fourhman, wife of Scott, of York.
Memorial Services for Anne will be held at 11AM, Friday, May 17, 2019 at Church of the Apostles, 1850 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603. Family and friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. Private interment will take place in the church’s Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Anne’s memory may be made to the Scholarship Fund of Apostles Community Preschool at the address above.

Anne was a dear friend, whom I will miss. I can’t believe she passed so suddenly. She was my roomate for two years at West Chester and spent a summer at my home in Philadelphia when we took our graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania. We would get together each time we were in the Lancaster area. I am so greatful having had her as a friend. What joy our visits were! Larry and I extend our sympathy at this time. Blessing and Peace, Larry and Carolyn

Remembering Anne and the years we taught together fondly. She had a welcome lap for holding and reading to children and an even bigger heart for the preschoolers in her class.
Peace and condolences to Russell, Eric, and Allision.

Anne what a blessing you were to us and especially to me. My granddaughters were students of yours in preschool and l know they learned many things from you, which helped to mold them into the young ladies they have become. Now you have joined the Church Trimphant. We will catch up when we see you there, on all the things we didn’t get a chance to say here. Love to your precious family. We love you.
