Though we never met face to face, I feel I know you through all the wonderful stories Marla would tell about your lives together. It was always a pleasure to speak with you on the phone and enjoyed the conversations. Your sister was always glowing when you talked or would text with her back and forth. It never ended without laughter and I Love You. I will contnue to stand by your sister through this unexpected loss as she, like many, are taking it very hard. I also promise to take care of her with her illness until the end. I love her very much. Rest in Peace and may God Bless your entire family during this difficult time.

I cannot believe he is gone. There were so many more things we wanted to do together. Having taken to thinking of him as just “dad,” his import in my life was much keener than I realized. This was an amazing man; over and above the most profoundly “every man to everyone” I’ve ever met. His breadth of knowledge facilitated his comfort in conversing with anyone about almost any topic. I have been privileged to take his often sage advice to heart on many occasions.
