Barbara A. Dochat, 85

Barbara A. Dochat, 85, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Pleasant View Retirement Community.
She was the wife of Fred G. Dochat, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage this past January 26th. Born in Hellam, York County, she was the daughter of the late Roger D. and Anna K. Yinger Shutt.
Barbara had worked for Fulton Bank as a mortgage processor, retiring in 1995. She had also previously worked at the Manheim Twp. Middle School as a teachers aide.
She was a graduate of the former York Junior College as well as the former St. Joseph’s School of Medical Technology.
Barbara enjoyed sewing and cross stitch, was a great cook, and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Abby Lynn married to John Henrie of Lebanon and Christopher Todd married to Ann Dochat of Lutherville, MD; and by her grandchildren Collin married to Esther Henrie, Joelle Henrie, Cecilia Clapper, Patrick Dochat, and Geoffrey Dochat.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 from 10-11AM at St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Barbara’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603 or to Hospice For All Seasons, 280 S. Hill Rd., Grantville, PA 17028.

to Barbara’s family, please accept my condolences. I worked with Barbara many years ago in the FUlton Mortgage department and she was a lovely lady. I ran into her several years ago and she seemed very happy and enjoying the grandchildren growing up. I hope her passing was peaceful. warm regards, Carolyn French
