Barbara M. “Barb” Gilland, 73

Barbara M. “Barb” Gilland, 73, of Lancaster County, passed away August 15, 2022. She was born in Syracuse, NY to the late Arthur and Dorothy Quinn.
She spent much of her career as a manager at Blockbuster. It was here that she let her love of movies shine. Barbara was a movie buff with an extensive knowledge of countless films. Often, she would share details and facts about the many movies she had seen with customers as she toured them through the aisles. There was not a person who came into Blockbuster that Barbara could not find a perfect movie for. Barbara had a great love for her family and pet Chihuahua Bailey. She enjoyed spending time in their company.
Barbara is survived by her children; Philip Krout (Amanda) of Columbia, Jim Krout (Paula) of Strasburg, and Krysti Heldibridle (Terry); her step children Bobbie Gilland and Brooke Carver; her grandchildren Dylan, Zoe, Ashley, Logan, and Donavan; her great-grandchildren Brandon and Abby; and her siblings, Dottie Horst (Bob) of Lititz, Maggie Anspach (Buzz) of Lititz, Patricia Heckman of Coudersport, Arthur Quinn (Carol) of Mt. Joy, Richard Quinn (Karen) of Delaware.
Along with her parents Barbara is preceded in her passing by her husband Robert Gilland and her brother in-law Ted Heckman.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA, on Saturday August 27th 2022. Visitation will begin at 9:30AM with services to follow at 10AM and interment to take place after.
