Barbara T. Culley, 88

September 30, 1936 - April 18, 2025

Barbara T. Culley, age 88, entered eternal rest on April 18, 2025, at Luther Acres. Born September 30, 1936, in Manhattan, she was the only daughter of Walter and Ruth Beck. She was the beloved wife of Matthew P. Culley, Sr., for over 50 years, until his passing in 2005. Barbara will be remembered as a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Even during her illness, she often doted on the pride she had for her children and would share with others.

As a devout Catholic, her faith and the church were instrumental to her and Matt, in building their family and raising their children, as Matt was a Permanent Deacon in the Catholic church with his last assignment being at St. John Neumann.

Barbara often reflected on the beginning years of her marriage, where she accompanied her husband to Germany, during his military service. She was fond of flower gardening and frequently enjoyed a cup of McDonalds coffee.

Barbara is survived by her loving family including her children, Kathleen A. Risko, wife of John of Lancaster, Randy Culley, husband of Cathy of Lititz, Kimberly Marsh, wife of Steven Sr. of Lititz, and Matthew S. Culley, husband of Deborah of Marietta, grandchildren, Carolyn, Amy, Lauren, Erin, Steven Jr., Nicole, Zachary, and Michael, 14 great-grandchildren, and a brother, William Beck of NJ. She was preceded in passing by her parents, her husband Matthew P. Culley Sr., and their daughter, Debra (Culley) Frank.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd. Lancaster, PA 17601, with Fr. Daniel Powell as Celebrant. The family will receive guests at the church from 10 AM until Mass. Interment to follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions are encouraged to be made to St. John Neumann Church to fund the Deaconate program, at the address above.
