Barry L. Miller, Sr., 73, of Ephrata, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, March 20, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer for over a decade. Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the beloved son of the late Elsie L. (Schaeffer) and Harry D. Miller, Sr.

He spent over two decades with the love of his life, Teresa D. Walker, who preceded him in death.

Barry was a proud and active member of several local organizations, including Ephrata Amvets Post 136, Mount Etna Fire Company # 1, Reamstown Athletic Association, Lititz VFW, and Lititz American Legion.

Prior to his disability, he worked for Four Seasons Produce as a truck driver. Earlier on, he worked for Badorf Shoe Company for many years until they closed.

In his free time, Barry enjoyed hosting cookouts, playing pool, and watching classic Westerns on TV. He collected vinyl records and enjoyed listening to oldies music, especially Elvis Presley. Barry cherished the simple joys of life, including sharing drinks with friends and spending quality time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Barry L. Miller, Jr. of Pembroke, NC, and Dale L. Miller, husband of Melissa, of Ephrata, PA. He was the proud grandfather to Zachary, Cloey, Dale, Kaitlyn, Micah, and Ashton, and great grandfather to Leanne. Barry is also survived by his siblings Dale Schaeffer of AZ, Harry D. Miller, Jr. of Lititz, and Kenny Schaeffer of Lebanon, A niece Betty Trimble of Akron, PA, whom he shared a special bond, as well as several other nieces and nephews.

Barry was proceeded in death by his sisters, Jeanne Ramos and Ruthie Schaeffer.

Family and Friends are invited to gather and celebrate Barry’s life on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Ephrata Amvets Post 136, 614 S. State Street, Ephrata, PA 17522.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ephrata Amvets at the address listed above.

Barry’s legacy of warmth, laughter, and love will continue to love on in the hearts of all who knew him.
