Berea K. “Bea” Frey, 86
October 05, 2019
Berea K. “Bea” Frey, 86, of Audubon, gained her angel wings on October 5, 2019 after a lengthy illness. Bea and her husband, S. William Frey, were married 62 years. Born in East Petersburg, she was a daughter of the late Ephraim “Bud” and Bertha (Christ) Kiehl.
A graduate of Hempfield High School, Bea worked as a bookkeeper for a variety of businesses. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, sewing and casino day-trips with girlfriends to play the slot machines. Over the years she created cross-stitch pictures, knit sweaters and made clothing for her children and grandchildren. She knit and donated many hats and blankets for newborns at Einstein Hospital in East Norriton. Bea was a long time member of Plymouth Valley Women’s Club, participating in the music group and bowling league. An avid bowler for many years, she was saddened when health issues made it too difficult to participate. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Church, Audubon, whose thoughtfulness and caring over the past years was greatly appreciated by Bea and her family.
Bea was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren! Besides her husband, Bill, Bea is survived by her son, Michael W. & wife, Ann, Pottstown; daughter, Vicki L., wife of Dale Groome, Red Lion; and four grandchildren: Jason Frey and wife, Maggie, Joshua Frey, Kelsey Groome and fiance, Joshua Byrley, and David Groome. Two siblings also survive: Victor D. Kiehl, Columbia; and Elaine Neff, Lancaster; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three siblings: Charles Elvin Kiehl, Esther (Kiehl) Willis and Mary (Kiehl) Ruhl Kreider.
Funeral services will be held graveside at Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster, PA on Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 11 AM. All are welcome.
Donations may be made in Bea’s name to Saint Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 2725 Egypt Road, Audubon, PA 19403 or to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Dr., Triangle, VA 22172.

Condolences to the Family
November 01, 2019
Dear Bill, I am so sorry to learn of Bea’s death. We briefly shared meals in the dining room @ Shannondell while my husband was a patient there. We laughed many times, agreed on many topics and knowing Bea for just that small amount of time, was a pleasure for both of us. Glenn and I send our thoughts of condolence and will also be praying for you and the family. May the love of family and friends help you through this time of loss. Best to you, Mary Ellen DeWane
