My deepest condolences to the family on Betty’s passing. I have great memories of Betty and I as young mothers in Strasburg. I am so happy that I got to see Betty earlier this year at the steakhouse. I am sending my love to the whole family, but especially to Betty!

Dear Bob and family I want you to know that I was not able to be there Thursday because I had a retreat booked long before Betty was sick and everything new in the hospital and everything and of course this is something I did not want to miss. I kept checking everything every day, but nothing showed, but it didn’t matter because this was planned and already pre-paid not by me by someone else that I don’t even know who it was. The arrangements were made and I had to come I am at Saint Emma’s out in Latrobe actually it’s Greensboro. It’s close to Latrobe and that’s, what happens and you can imagine how bad I feel about it but there was nothing I could do about it. The money was already given to the monastery that I’m at right now but in my heart, I valued Betty as such a wonderful friend I valued your whole family is wonderful friends and I am so so sorry that I wasn’t there for this, but this happened to me when it past they were people that just couldn’t be there for one reason or another . Our times together when it was alive and Betty was well and alive and memories will never forget. I have a beautiful card and a picture I’d like to get to you when I get back and your family. I’ll be in touch with you when I get back I get back Sunday night, when I talk with you in person, it will be better. I am so very sorry. I am praying for all of you. I really know how hard it is even though the person that we love is so sick and so unable to live life to the full we miss them so much, and will always miss them , I am believing my Ed and Betty now I have met up with each other and are praying for all of us my deepest, deepest sympathy. Blessings to all of you. Hope to see you very soon. Bye-bye God bless.

To Uncle Bob and all our wonderful cousins,
This is the time in our lives that we hope we never have to face… and it breaks our heart in ways that are beyond words. Aunt Betty was our rock when we lost our own mom and I feel better knowing that they’re all together now and at peace. She was a loving, caring and beautiful mom and had absolutely the best daughters and husband anyone can ever ask for. I’ll cherish all the times we were able to come up and visit- and the memories we have- all gathered as family, relaxing and enjoying wonderful picnics and Bob’s beautiful garden! That’s what life is all about – family, friends and moments to cherish and most of all the Love. That love lives on in our hearts forever.
