Dear Vernon & Family, I only knew Betty for a few years, but when I started to play Bridge at Maple Grove, she was one of the first persons welcome me. She was always pleasant, kind—just a lovely lady. Please accept my deepest sympathies–she will truly be missed. Fondly, Mary Anne Aichele

I would like to express condolences to:
Carol Harris Newell, (my cousin) * Roland Roberts of Southport, NC (my very dear uncle) *
Vernon Hester & family * Pennsylvania circle of friends, especially her church family whom she highly esteemed.
Aunt Betty lived a full life. Not all of us are blessed to actually enjoy our lives as she did. She was a woman of discriminating taste and understated elegance. She took great pleasure in her hobbies and remained a faithful Christian throughout her life. I recall that she was keen to have an aesthetically perfect environment around her as much as possible; a lover of all things beautiful. I have no doubt that she was ushered into the presence of God and now lives on in a perfect realm, with a new body and eternal spirit with a new beginning.
Respectfully,
Janette (Jan) G. Roberts – 2044 Ferbow St, Creedmoor, NC
Daughter of the late Walter Leonard Roberts and the late Geneva Winstead Roberts of Durham, NC
