Beverly A. Baker, 88

Beverly A. Baker, 88, of Lancaster, passed away on October 12, 2024 at Oak Leaf Manor South in Millersville.

She was the wife of the late Alva E. Baker, who passed away one day earlier on October 11, 2024. They had shared 65 years of marriage this past December 5th. Born in Evansville, IN, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence R. and Orpha E. Evans Stallings.

Beverly had worked as a teller for 10 years for Fulton Bank. Following her retirement, she worked part-time in various hospitality positions as she enjoyed engagement with the public.

She was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she had served on church council and on several committees.

Beverly enjoyed going to the beach at Cape May, NJ, cross stitching, doing puzzles and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children: Rhonda Wertz of Kersey, PA, Alva Dennis Baker of Lititz, PA, Bonnie Baker of Brooksville, FL, Sharon married to Michael Moore of Lancaster, and Barbara married to James Krouse of Coto de Caza, CA; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant children, Stephen and Elizabeth along with siblings Lee, Harold, Betty, Bill, Jack, Dorothy and Jerry.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Beverly’s memory to St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 Delp Rd., Lancaster, PA 17601.
