Blair E. Treasure, 88

Blair E. Treasure, 88, formerly of Lancaster passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016. Born in Bolivar PA, Blair was the son of the late Delbert M. and Rilla E. (Krouse) Treasure. He was the loving husband to Hilda L. (Antonacci) Treasure, to whom he had been married for 64 years.
Blair worked for Millersville University for 20 years as Assistant Director of Admissions, then Director of Admissions, and finally Dean of Admissions and Enrollment before retiring. He proudly served in the US Navy. Blair greatly loved and cared for his family. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and watching the Millersville University sports teams as well as his Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. Blair was a member of St. Philips Catholic Church.
Blair is survived by his son, David W., husband of Jennifer of Springfield, VA. He is also survived by his three grandsons: Sam, Tyler and Jake of Springfield, VA.; a brother, Hayes, husband of Casey of Greensburg and two sisters: Alice Antonio, wife of Rudolph of Bolivar and Janet Donahue, wife of Regis of Greensburg. He is preceded in death by a son, James; two brothers: Glenn, husband of Cecilia of Bolivar and James of Bolivar.
A visitation with family will be held from 4-6 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Charles Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA 17551. Funeral services for Blair will be held at 10 AM, on Monday, September 12th, at the St. Philips Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA, 17603. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Blair’s name may be made to the James E. Treasure Football Scholarship at Millersville University c/o James E. Treasure Endowment PO Box 1002 Millersville, PA 17551.

I ame writing this on behalf of my Mother, Jane Steele – – we were so sorry to learn of Blair’s passing. We will always remember the wonderful fun times we had in Florida when we came to visit. Sincere sympathy to Hilda and Dave and the grandchildren. I have fond memories of Blair at Millersville Faculty meetings – he always was most professional and sincere. He teased me about being a Phillies fan – especially when the Phillies lost to Pittsburgh!
