Blake Avery Singleton, 62

Blake Avery Singleton, 62, of Harrisburg, and formerly of Lancaster, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Rae A. (Shay) Vitale and his stepfather, the late Ronald F. Vitale.
Blake was a graduate of IU-13. He was extremely hardworking and held various positions throughout his life. Blake worked for McDonald’s for 10 years, Lancaster Brewing Co. for 4 years, and most recently at Goodwill. He was involved in the Special Olympics, enjoyed bowling, and going for walks. Blake loved a good steak dinner and watching the Hallmark channel. He was passionate about dogs and was an avid Eagles fan. Blake was also a former member of Forest Hills Mennonite Church.
In addition to his mother Rae, Blake is survived by 3 sisters: Lynne Vitale, Barbara Vitale, and Tina Vitale (Walter Ream); uncle Richard Shay (Alice), aunt Ruth Frey, uncle Jim Shay, 6 nieces and nephews, 11 great-nieces and nephews, and a host of beloved cousins.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions in Blake’s name to Merakey Foundation, 4251 Crums Mill Rd, Harrisburg, PA 17112.

We send our sympathy to Rae & the family, Blake was a special person that our family grew up with in Lancaster City, he will certainly be missed & we all know that he his home now with out Lord.
