Bonita Louise “Bonnie Lou” (Kreider) Geisel, 60, of Lititz, PA, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2024, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the cherished daughter of June Elise (Myers) and the late Paul Hersh Kreider, Jr. Bonnie was the beloved wife of James “Jim” E. Geisel, with whom she recently celebrated six years of marriage.
A graduate of Manheim Central High School, Class of 1982, and Penn State University, Class of 1986, Bonnie was known for her creativity and passion for life. She had a wide range of hobbies, including baking, where she was famous for her chocolate cake with peanut butter icing. Bonnie also enjoyed riding her motorcycle, crocheting, making pottery, and creating soaps and candles. Her artistic and creative spirit touched everyone around her. She loved to visit Nashville, TN, a place close to her heart.
Bonnie Lou had a successful career in accounting and finance, where she made significant contributions to various organizations throughout her professional life. Her expertise and dedication led her to work for several reputable companies, including Warner-Lambert, Ambassador Advisors, Lancaster General Hospital (LGH), Kunzler and Company, Inc., Doneckers Fashion, NCR, NTN Americas, TEKGARD, and Golden Barrel Products.
Her professional accomplishments were just one part of her full and vibrant life, and she balanced her career with her many personal passions and her deep love for her family.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, Jim; her two children: Jeremy Brett and Derek Paul Goodman; brother, Paul and wife Debbie, stepmother to Heather Boll, wife of Rodney, and Justin Root. She was a proud grandmother to her grandson Logan and step-grandmother to Jade, Landon, Kadon, Dori, Mason, Kylie, and Coen.
A Celebration of Bonnie Lou’s life will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family and friends are invited to gather from 5 PM until the time of service. Private inurnment has been held at Witness Park in Lititz, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604, or to support breast cancer awareness with the Making Strides of South Central PA.
May her memory be a source of strength and comfort to all who knew and loved her.
