Carleton W. “Carl” Eddins, 75
August 29, 1948 - June 14, 2024
Carleton W. “Carl” Eddins, 75, of Lancaster, left for a better place on June 14, 2024. He was born into the world on August 29, 1948, to George Eddins, husband of Helen, and Kathleen (Wright) Eddins.
He moved to Lancaster in 1955 and was a graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School Class of 1966. Carl was a journeyman machinist most of his career, working for Black & Decker, RCA, Burnham Boiler, Warner Lambert, and Pfizer before retiring in 2008 from Johnson & Johnson. He was a proud union member of molders, teamsters, IBEW, IAM, and USW. His hobbies included photography, antique cars, riding motorcycles and being “Mr. Fix It”. He was reliable, compassionate, and everyone could always count on him. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving son, caring father, and cherished “Pop Pop”.
Carl’s biggest treasure was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen M. Eddins, with whom he shared almost 60 years; daughters, Vicki L. Stoltz, wife of Scott Jude of Harrisburg, and Casey A. Thomas of Lancaster; and his grandchildren, Olivia L. Fisher (Brandon) and Nikolas C. Kunkle (Haley). He was preceded in passing by his parents and stepmother.
A funeral service honoring Carl will be held at 12 PM on Friday, June 21, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584. The family will receive guests from 11 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions are encouraged to be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or The Hello in There Foundation.

Kathy and I extend our deepest sympathy to the entire Eddins family. We were neighbors on Frances Ave., Manheim Township for several years. Remember them fondly. May the God of ALL grant them comfort, assurance and peace.

Carl was my brother from another mother. We had fun working together at RCA and then running into each other in later years and renewing our friendship with game nights with Katie and Molly, going to the swimming pool Always having fun. He was a generous, big hearted guy who will be missed.
All of you are in our thoughts
