May 17, 2024

Carole Ann Walter, a beloved mother, friend, and community supporter, passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2024. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ruth (Swartz) McQuate and the devoted wife of the late James D. Walter who passed in 2018.

Her intricate designs and meticulous attention to detail reflected her patience and artistic talent. In her leisure time, Carole Ann enjoyed the excitement of playing Bingo. She also had a love for bowling, participating in many leagues during her younger years. Summers were a special time for Carole Ann, who loved swimming and embraced the joy and being in the water.

Carole Ann was a dedicated supporter of local volunteer fire companies, understanding the importance of their role in the community and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Above all, Carole Ann’s greatest joy was her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving figure, always there to offer support, share a laugh, and create cherished memories. Condolences to the Family

Dixie and family,
My sincere sypathies to you on the loss of your mom.  I worked with your mom when we both worked for Curt’s Cleaning.  She was a funny, loyal, appreciative, conscientious, all round great co-worker and friend!!  Boy we could laugh and have a good time while working and getting the job done.  I wish I would have written down all of her sayings she had.  Whenever I think of her it brings a smile to my face.  Prayers to you as you deal with your loss, but be thankful of all the time and memories you had together.
Blessings,
Cindy Portner
