Catherine May “Kitty” Strausser, 69

Catherine May “Kitty” Strausser, 69, Wyomissing, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 20th, 2017 after her courageous battle with cancer. She was married to her loving husband, William R. Strausser, with whom she had just celebrated 53 years of marriage on July 4th.
Over the years, after working in factory and retail, she was retired from Sunoco in 2012. Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Russell Landis, Sr.
She loved spending time traveling on cruises all over the world with her husband as well as reading and spending time with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren whom she adored.
In addition to her husband, she is also survived by 3 daughters: Wendy A., wife of Alvin Shade, Jr., Wyomissing, Pepper L., wife of Kevin Troop, Reading, and Candy L., wife of Albert Gray, Reading; a son, Randy W., fiancé of Lisa Beiler, Wyomissing. There are also 6 grandchildren: Amanda, Brittany, Bethany, Melodie, Kayla and Zachary; also 2 great-grandchildren: Alexander and Elijah.
She is also survived by her sisters: Rebecca Lopez and Bertha Burton and her brother, Russell Landis, Jr.
At Catherine’s request, there will be no funeral service. A family memorial service will be planned at a later date at the convenience of the family.

I`m so sad to hear about what happen. I`m remembering the good times we had @ 16th & Haak ,Mineral Spring Apts., and Orange St. I always enjoyed being with you .I just wish I could have known you as an adult.   John(Vino) Blessing.
