Charles F. Link, Jr., passed away on Monday, October 07, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Patton, PA, he was the son of the late Gertrude (Karlheim) Link and Charles F. Link, Sr. Charles was the loving husband of Joyce P. Link with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage.

Charles retired after 31 years as a watchmaker for Hamilton Watch Company. He liked to do “handy man” work, refinishing furniture, gardening and canning. Charles was a man of few words but a wonderful listener. He had a great love for his family because they were his life.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Joyce, Charles is survived by three children: Christina L. Miller, wife of William C., of East Earl, PA, Rebecca J. Graham, wife of Wesley, of Lancaster, PA, and Charles F. Link, III, husband of Nicole, of New Providence, PA; four grandchildren: Ashley, Abryanna, Charles IV, and Gabriella; and two sisters: Viola Luckring and Joann Wimble, both of Delaware.

Charles was preceded in death by a son, Ryan P. Link, and his siblings: Rita Malkin, Ethel Black, Alvin (“Bud”) Link, Harold Link, Karl Link, and Wilmina Link.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice & Community Care, especially Jackie, for their warm and caring services to Charles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, October 11, 2013 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17602, with Rev. Daniel Mitzel as Celebrant. Family and Friends will be received from 10:30-11:30 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charles’ memory to Hospice & Community Care, 685 Good Drive, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
