Charles William “Bill” Bair, 90
April 08, 2025
Charles William “Bill” Bair, age 90, of Lititz passed away on April 8, 2025. Born in Churchtown, Bill was the son of the late George and Grace (Simpson) Bair and the beloved and devoted husband of Darlene (Essex) Bair. They celebrated 65 years of marriage in January.
Bill was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea. Following his military service, he became a skilled plumber and the sole proprietor of Bair’s Plumbing, where he built a reputation for his craftsmanship and work ethic. In retirement, he served with the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard performing many military funerals.
Bill appreciated the simple things in life, whether it was spending time with his family, coaching baseball, or enjoying hunting in the great outdoors. An avid baseball fan, Bill was particularly passionate about the St. Louis Cardinals, a love that he had his whole life.
In addition to his wife, Darlene, Bill is survived by his children: Lyndell Bair (husband of Shannon) and Lori Bair; 3 grandchildren: Erin Firestone (wife of Jacob), Evan Bair (husband of Abigail) and Connor Bair; 1 great grandchild: Kiera Bair as well as 4 siblings: Jean Styer, John Bair (husband of Doris), Frank Bair (husband of Laverne) and Robert Bair (husband of Joan).
In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his siblings: Peggy Musser, George Bair, Marion Bair and Grace Ann Sprecher.
Family will receive friends at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. 17543, on April 22, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM with a memorial service to begin at 2:00 PM. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

Sorry to hear that Bill has passed away. He was on of my favorite people I worked with here at Haller.
Always had a great time talking sports……especially Baseball with him. I haven’t seen him for a few years
but i am sure he was still talking Cardinals baseball everyday. He will be missed….!
Thoughts and prayers to all of the family….RIP

Family,
Bill was one of my favorite people. During my time at Haller I would intentionally “find” him to talk baseball. He always made me laugh and was a great man. Many great stories he would tell. He invited me one night to view his baseball card collection and I think 4 hours went by in 10 minutes.
Rest in peace.

I was fortunate to serve with Bill on the RRVHG. Always in a good mood and with a smile on his face. Enjoyed listening to his stories about S. Korea. May God bless his family in their time of grief

Dear Bair Family, Our condolences to all of you. The three things we remember most about Bill are his passion for the Cardinals and baseball, his pride in being an Army Veteran and his love of his family especially his grandchildren. May you find support in your memories and your love of family and our Lord. God bless you all.

I was privileged to know Bill through the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard. I did a number of Services with him and always found him to be in good spirits and always willing to do anything that was asked of him. He has been missed since he went “Emeritus.” I will be on the Detail to present Military Honors on the 22nd of April.
Sincerely,
Dan Flynn, Vice Chairman, RRVHG
