Charlotte W. Ruhl, 84

February 24, 2025

Charlotte W. Ruhl, 84, of Lititz, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Donegal Township, she was the daughter of the late Clifford M. and Gladys E. (Miller) Spade. She was the loving wife of the late Elmer F. Ruhl who passed away on September 8, 2015.

Charlotte was a graduate of Penn Manor School and spent her career as an Accounts Receivable Supervisor at IREX Corp. Charlotte had a deep love for her family and cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An avid gardener, she found joy and peace among her flowers, tending to them with care and passion. She was also a creative soul, enjoying sewing, knitting, and reading in her quiet moments. She was an avid crossword puzzler and enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. One of Charlotte’s greatest joys was the beach. She looked forward to visiting every year, where she found relaxation and happiness by the ocean.

She is survived by her children, Thomas (Roxann) Ruhl and Cindy Ruhl; her sisters, Joann and Lynda Brian; her grandchildren, Zachary, Amanda, Kelsey, Gabrielle, and Alexis; and great grandchildren, Thomas, Harrison, Viola, Ember, Anikan, Branden, and Kendall.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; and brothers, John and Leroy Spade.

Services are being held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charlotte’s name to The Pennsylvania SPCA Lancaster Center, 848 S. Prince Street, Lancaster, PA 17603.
