Christopher G. Harnish, 53
January 14, 1971 - February 01, 2024
Christopher G. Harnish, owner of Harnish Painting in Ephrata, passed away on February 1, 2024, after a brief illness, at the age of 53. Chris was born January 14, 1971, to Glenn L. and Jo E. (Minnich) Harnish.
Chris was an amazing and talented chef and loved making meals for anyone that set foot in his kitchen. He spent many Friday nights with a full house of his children’s friends around the dining room table feeding them before and after their sporting events. He loved cooking, growing his own vegetables, canning, and freeze-drying food. He also loved spending time with his friends at the cabin and being outdoors.
He began his career, at The Hotel Hershey and worked at the Tangerine in Philadelphia. Chris started Harnish Painting which has become very successful over the last 22 years and has worked with many local builders and construction companies in the area.
Chris will be sorely missed by his children, Isaac and Anna Harnish; his parents, Jo E. Harnish of Lititz, and Glenn L. Harnish, husband of Pamela of Lititz; and siblings, Scott Harnish, husband of Karyn of Lancaster, and Elizabeth “Liz”, wife of Brad Dauberman, of Shrewsbury, as well as many extended family and close friends.
A Celebration of Chris’ life will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 at 7 PM. The family will receive guests from 5 PM – 7 PM.

Condolences to the Family
February 18, 2024
Glenn, Pam, Jo, Scott, Karyn, Liz, Brad, Maria, Isaac, Anna,
It was my wish and intention to be there Friday night to greet each one of you and offer my love and condolences on your loss of Chris.
While I knew Chris only peripherally through Scott and Karyn, I could see his kind heart, his connection to family and the way he held a smile on his face are all ways he left an impression on your hearts.
Each of you have lost this relationship, with son, brother (in law) partner and father. While life continues to carry you forward, I hope time fills in the present and future with loving memories and sweet recollections of your shared experiences of Chris. Adjusting to this new space will be challenging. I pray your grieving opens your heart to deeper love and connection with one another. May the seeds of love Chris sowed in each of your lives bloom a beautiful garden. Sincerely,
Lisa Ganse

I knew Chris as a young boy, the oldest of 3 children of Jo and Glenn. We were backyard neighbors in Lititz. Jo and I were good friends, and our (3) children played together. Chris was always a sweet, young boy and polite, and very energetic. His two children and two of my grandchildren play soccer together and are very close friends. My condolences go out to Chris’ children, his siblings, and his parents, especially. They raised a wonderful son who will be so, so missed!

My sincere thoughts, prayers, & condolences are with the Harnish family. I had the privilege of being friends with Chris since we were both very young…he was one heck of an athlete. He will surely be missed by all of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Sadly, I will not be able to attend his celebration of life because I will be in North Carolina for my youngest son’s graduation, but I will definitely be there in spirit.
