Dear Marie and family
Thinking about you in this difficult time. I know how difficulty it is to lose your father. We just had our memorial for my dad this past weekend.
All our thoughts and prayers
Brian(Boog),Carranda, Aaron and Derrick

Don and Marie,
Thank you for sharing your father with me.  I so enjoyed his company and friendship.  There were many evenings that he came up to Bloomfield Sq. Restaurant and shared his time with me and our friend Dennis Mohler.  He also was so happy and so willing to share his joy and laughter.

Even the last time Marie brought him up to the restaurant he had me laughing so hard that tears were streaming down my face.  Always remember his jokes about the white silk stockings!  But he still had on his red socks!

All my best wishes,
Lynn McGowen

We send you our deepest sympathy at this time and say that our thoughts have been with you since we heard of LaVerne’s death.  We admired him greatly and will never forget the friendliness and kindness LaVerne extended to us.  He was loved by all who knew him.

With Sympathy
Bing and Beverly Gary

Our thoughts are with you.  We will always remember your Dad.  What a guy!  Remember his camping gags – the telephone and the animal in the box.  And only Marie can drive the old fire truck.  Your dad was a special man.  We will remember him with love.

To the Stauffer Family:
I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of LaVerne. I met LaVerne while he worked at the LTI plant in Ephrata part time driving our fire trucks all over the country. Although I did not see him often, he always had a way of bringing a smile to my face. He will always be remembered…so sorry to hear the news..

Tim Ashworth

Wow…40 years of friendship. One of the benefits of being a Volunteer Fireman is to meet one of the Greats…Chief D. Laverne Stauffer…. I will always have him in my memories of the camping, fire fighting, Zone 2 Meetings, seeing him on the run when at Graybill’s Dairy, Fire Expo, His Special Fire Prevention Message, and Just the special friendship with Marty and LaVerne..What a Great Volunteer Family!!!

May God Bless..

I was honored to have known LaVerne for many years. He was always there for the fire company and the members and the citizens of Manheim Twp. To his family my deepest sympathy. He will be greatly missed by all.

I’m very sorry for your loss of your dad. Just know that he’s with your mom now and they are dancing under the stars of heaven. I will miss Pop Pop’s smile at the family dinners. He always knew how to keep a smile on your face. I love you all and may Pop Pop rest in peace.

Love ya
Deena
