David W. Noble, 95
August 05, 2024
David W. Noble passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024. He was born in Wilkes Barre, PA on September 18, 1928, to William and Mabel (Ridall) Noble. As a young man Dave excelled at football and enjoyed Scouting, earning the rank of Eagle. He proudly served in the US Army from 1946 to 1951 and was deployed to occupied Japan, and Korea, and served at Ft. Lee, VA.
After leaving the military he graduated from Rider College and worked as a Metallurgist Manager at US Steel’s Fairless Works in Bucks County. Dave was a faithful member of Morrisville United Methodist Church, serving in various leadership roles.
Dave relished telling the story of how he met Helen, the love of his life, at the Mistletoe Ball in 1947. They went on to share sixty-one years of marriage and raise five children. Together they explored Dave’s heritage through trips to Scotland and membership in the Scottish-American Society. The Highland Games, haggis and Hogmanay were all special. Whether a Scottish reel or a polka, Dave was a great dancer!
In 2017 he moved from Yardley, PA to The Lakes at Willow Valley where his sunny, positive nature helped open a world of new activities. His family would like to thank Willow Valley staff and the professionals at Caring Hospice for the kind and compassionate care they provided.
Dave will be missed by his children, Becky Schroeder (Bill), Jamison, PA, Patty McClune, (Randy), Landisville, PA, Suzanne Noble (Dave Carns), Ellensburg, WA & Bradford Noble, D.O., Columbia, MO; his grandchildren, Kirstin Mink (Dan), Elizabethtown, PA, Steve McClune (Cheryl), Lancaster, PA, Jon Schroeder (Kasey), Baltimore, MD, Drew McClune (Audrey), Lancaster, PA, Amy Dufault, Selah, WA, Stevie Noble, Walla Walla, WA, Alexandria, Ava, Hudson & Anniston Noble, Columbia, MO; and his great-grandchildren, Hannah, Maggie, Jake, Becca, Ryan, Graham, Anna, Jojo, Clark, Ellie, Lulu & Addy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Palischak), son, Stephen, and two sisters, Barbara Likowski and Clara Elaine Noble.
Services will be private.
