Diane H. Markowitz, 69, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024 at Maple Farm Nursing Center.
Born in New Brunswick, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen (Szabo) Tamasi. She was the wife of Robert “Bob” Markowitz. They were together for 50 years and married almost 49 of those years.
Diane grew up in New Jersey, where she met her husband, Bob, at Morrison Steel. They shared a loving marriage and raised their daughter, Terry, together.
Diane chose to be a stay-at-home mom, dedicating her life to caring for her family. She was a talented baker and cook, known for her delicious meals and treats. Diane took pride in her Hungarian heritage. She also enjoyed sewing and spent many hours crafting beautiful pieces. A passionate Orioles fan, Diane rarely missed a game and loved cheering on her team. Her love for animals was evident in the way she cared for her beloved cats.
Diane is survived by her husband, Robert J. Markowitz; her daughter, Terry (Brian) Beaudoin; her cats, Timmy, Gracie, Mickey, and Onyx; and her grand-cats, Emma, Sophie, June, Ash, Pauly, and Holly.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard E. Tamasi.
