Condolences to the Family

Dennis, Peggy and the Roland family,
Our sincerest sympathy is expressed to you at the passing of your wonderful father, Donald. We had a special relationship with Don over the years as his next-door neighbor at Brethren Village. He and now-deceased wife Pat introduced us to one of their favorite restaurants, the Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant. Through the years, we accompanied them on many occasions traveling to this restaurant. Within his last week of life, we spoke to him about this very restaurant. We enjoyed Don’s humor, his many stories, and his love of the piano. He was a very special man. He will indeed be missed. Our prayers are with you all, Dennis & Cindi Snovel

Our deepest sympathies to the Roland family. I have many fond memories of Don from my teenage years. I remember him as a fun-loving and devout person. As a veteran, I am proud to salute his combat service. In so many ways, Don was truly a member of the “Greatest Generation.”

Denny, Peggy and family, your Dad was such a great guy, I loved him and your family. His zest for learning throughout life left a memory in me that will remain forever. It was my privilege to teach him the piano. So Denny, this is what you have to live up to as an example!!! Every generation is supposed to a little better than the one before so good luck with that! Your friend always, Dave Zoccola
